SSOMA appoint Emmanuel Aban Ajawin as new Secretary General

During a recent meeting of its leadership council, the South Sudan Sudan Opposition Movements Alliance (SSOMA) voted to appoint Emmanuel Aban Ajawin as its new Secretary General.


Ajwain is currently leader of the National Democratic Movement-Patriotic Front (NDM-PF), and will replaced Kwaje Lasu as Secretary General of SSOMA.


In a press release issued after the meeting, SSOMA announced that Ajwain will serve in the position for 6 months before the next election.


'The position of the Secretary-General of SSOMA is a 6 month tenure rotational among the members of the SSOMA Leadership Council', the alliance declared.


'As Secretary General, Amb. Emmanuel Ajawin will be the Chief Administrator of the Alliance and answerable to the SSOMA Leadership Council'.


The SSOMA is made up of the National Salvation Front (NAS); the National Democratic Movement-Patriotic Front (NDM-PF); the South Sudan National Movement for Change/Army (SSNMC/A); and the United Democratic Revolution Movement/Army (UDRM/A).
